Our contributors’ thoughts on Prop 5 continue in Part Two…
Emily Kloc shares her thoughts
I want to thank you all so much for your help on Prop 5.
Whether it was making phone calls, posting on facebook, spreading the word, or the ever-important moral support, I want you to know how grateful I am to have people like you in my life. People who will do the hard work of slowly making this world a more accepting place.
Although we have not yet won the numbers do not tell the whole story. The campaign has been an incredible process of talking to people one on one, changing hearts and minds, and coming out as a community.
And we are stronger and better off for having gone through this.
Not to mention the phenomenal number of allies we now have and the all the wonderful people I personally had the chance to meet. Thank you again for your overwhelming support. We couldn’t have done it without you.
Still in a bit of shock,
We hope that you will post your own thoughts in reply so we may share them too. And if you’d like to contribute your own post on the subject, please send it to firstname.lastname@example.org along with a 2-3 sentence bio about yourself.
